Diphony

Privacy Policy

Last updated 1 September 2026

The short version: Diphony records and transcribes your meetings entirely on your Mac. Your audio and transcripts never leave the device. We operate no server that receives them, so there is nothing for us to look at, store or hand over.

What Diphony stores, and where

None of this is transmitted anywhere. Deleting a session in the app (or in Finder) removes the audio and the transcript from your disk permanently.

What Diphony sends over the network

Diphony contacts exactly two kinds of address, and neither one carries your content:

There is no analytics SDK, no crash reporter, no advertising network and no telemetry of any kind in the app.

Data we collect about you

None. We do not have accounts, we do not ask for your email, and we cannot identify you. Purchases are handled by Apple; we receive only the anonymous sales reports Apple provides to every developer, which contain no personal information.

Microphone and system audio

Diphony asks macOS for microphone access (your side of the call) and system audio recording (the other side). Both are used only while you are recording, only to write the two audio files described above, and can be revoked at any time in System Settings › Privacy & Security.

Children

Diphony is a productivity tool for general audiences and is not directed at children under 13. We do not knowingly collect information from anyone.

Changes

If this policy changes, the new version appears on this page with a new date. Material changes will also be noted in the app's release notes.
